Everything Education!

Anyone who is going to thrive in business today has to be at least partially focused on education. The business world is changing rapidly and regularly and the only way to keep up is to continuously invest in new education.

For some people, a new education means going back to school and getting a new degree. For others, it is more about integrating the learning skills gained through classroom education and using these new skills in a business environment.

There is no place that this is truer than in businesses, which work closely with the education market. Any business that serves the needs of teachers, administrators and students is a business that benefits from staying in tune with the changing world of education.

Should I Invest in a Tutor?

So, this has been one of the most difficult semesters of my college career. Between the pre-cal and the advanced psychology, I’m having a difficult time keeping up. In fact, I’ve been considering getting help from some tutor services. The only thing I’m wondering is if it’s worth the investment or not.

Honestly, I have no experience with tutors. I was always a straight A student, so I never needed any help. But now that I’m in a psychology degree school, my work load is so much that I really could use one. Otherwise, I might end up failing to get my psychology degree.

I guess the main thing I need help with is the math. Pre-cal is just way over my head. There’s a reason I chose psychology as my major; I’m not good with math! If I could get some good tutoring on the math, I think all my other classes would fall into place.

Also, does anyone know if online tutoring is effective? I’ve never tried any distance education so it’s a whole new experience for me. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Well, I guess it’s time to do some more studying. I really wish math wasn’t required!

Golf Jobs Rock

I think that having a golf job would be one of the best gigs in the world.  Whether you were playing every day as a professional golfer or working as a manager of a golf course, every day would seem like play as opposed to work.  At least that is my opinion.

There are actually golf schools that you can go to in order to train for a job in the golf industry.  I am not talking about schools that teach you how to play golf, but schools that prepare you in other aspects of golf such as becoming a golf instructor, course manager, and other golf related jobs.

Many would think that a golf education would not be a serious course of study, but people can actually go to college and get a degree in golf.  Not everyone that works at a golf course or in the PGA is typical college graduate.  Some get specialized training at golf schools to prepare them for a job in a field they love.

Personally, I doubt I would ever go to a golf school as I do not have an interest in making golf a career.  I’m primarily a poker player and my job is poker related.  However, if you love golf, going to a golf college may be something you would want to consider.

Energy Costs

I’ve recently run across the usgbc website looking for information on green homes. As a homeowner, I’m very interested to see how I can reduce my energy costs. I’m spending hundreds of dollars a year cooling my house in Arizona, and I think I can at least offset that cost by using solar energy or even purchasing a new green house. I have looked into the availability of green homes here in Tucson, and while they are sparse, I’m finding that at least more and more builders are becoming more conscientious about their home designs. I haven’t started to look for a house with the intention of purchasing, but I do want to be aware of the options exist. Right now I live in a small two-bedroom house, so I need to start thinking about what I want or need when I start a family.

Of course, all the sites I’ve been pulling up take me to something to do with LEED, and I’ve heard talk about builders taking leed classes but my primary concern is if they actually have their leed certification. I’m not sure I can really trust a builder without that accreditation. I’ll continue to look, but for now I just want my energy costs to go down.

Looking for a Matted Diploma Frame

I had been to a few stores looking for an elegant university diploma frame however, everything I found was not quite what I was looking for.  I finally realized, what was missing was the matting.  I went to a few framing stores and told them what I was trying to locate however the price they quoted me was unreasonable.  Therefore I took my search on-line.

To my surprise I found a site that offered the same diploma framing that the local store did but for a fraction of the price, but without sacrificing quality.  It was easy to build the frame that I wanted and there were many selections for matting.  I was able to choose anything from traditional to leather matting for my frame and I also included a 22k embossed seal that represented my University.  Most importantly, I was able to get a clear idea of what my frame was going to look like.

It wasn’t long before my custom frame arrived to my home.  It was crafted in a way that made it easy to insert my diploma without damaging it and it looks great!  I couldn’t wait to hang it on my wall and this morning and it looks perfect.

Move!

doctor of audiology programSometimes I’m incredibly fascinated with the way we move.  Walking, running, climbing, and dancing-especially dancing-these are all such complicated, diverse movements that we take for granted.  We forget about our poor, distant cousins-bacteria, amoebas, and other single-celled organisms-that have no way to express themselves through the way they move.

Other people study our everyday movements for future careers in occupational therapy and other health sciences.  Those who are in a physical therapy field or even those who have earned a human movement graduate degree online know full well just how intricately each and every muscle in our bodies reacts to internal and external stimuli.

Still others admire the beauty of movement through dance.  Dance-the word itself is the definition of movement at its most pristine.  This physical manifestation of poetry has captivated mankind for ages unknown.  We see dancing in music and plays, we can imagine the rhythmical movement of our bodies through nature, through the simple thumping of a normal human heart.

Whether it be through appreciation of the arts or intense study at health sciences universities, human movement has been-and will no doubt continue to be-a subject of intense focus for many.
